Hosting A JT Class

Hosting a Judges Training (JT) class, either classroom or in-garden, is not difficult, but there are steps that must be taken. The class should be planned far enough in advance to publish details in either the Spring or Fall edition of the Region 16 Newsletter plus post information on the Region 16 website. The Guidelines for Hosting a Judges' Training Class attachment should guide you through the process.

The Judges' Training (JT) Class Notification is your communication tool to ensure interested parties are notified in a timely fashion. It is important this form be completed and sent to the Region 16 JT Chair, who will approve the class, and the Region 16 Newsletter editor, who will publish the details in the newsletter and on the website.  The document is a form for easy complition on-line.  It can then be emailed to the JT Chair and the Newsletter editor.  Alternately it can be printed, completed by hand and return it to the JT Chair and the Newsletter editor by surface mail.

NOTE: If this form is not received by the RVP and/or the Editor, it will be the host's responsibility to notify all Region 16 Master, Garden/Exhibition and Apprentice Judges plus known Candidates of the JT class in a timely manner via email, phone or letter.

The Report to JT Chair form is to be completed for each JT class hosted and sent to the JT Chair so appropriate JT credit(s) can be recorded.  This form can be saved to your computer, completed and emailed to the JT Chair.  Alternately it can be printed, filled-in manually and mailed.
The Show Tutor form and the Garden Tutor form are for use by Apprentice Judges when being tutored on a one on one basis for show and garden judging.  Print the appropriate form and have the tutoring judge complete it.  It should be returned to the AIS Region 16 JT Chair.
