From the beginning of the AIS in 1920, the position of Regional Vice President (RVP) has been a vital one as this individual acts as the liaison between the AIS Board of Directors and the members of the Region. 1940 - 1943 - Dr. W. E. Saunders, London, ON. Dr. Saunders died in office in mid 1943 at the age of 82.

1938 - 1939 - William Miles, Ingersoll, ON

It was during 1938 that the AIS in Canada became known as Region 16. Prior to this year it had been identified as Region 15 (1928 - 1937) and Region 6 (1920 - 1927), being 'bumped' as new AIS Regions formed.
