Fall Season 2011 - Home

Welcome to 2011

Games are VERY much on Saturday December 10th  - Some game times have been adjusted please see game times.

Parent/Teacher Match on Dec 10th @ 11am to 12pm.  Come and see it.

Each Saturday by check between 7am & 7:30am to see if there is any cancellations.  Great Start to the season.  1st week games were fun and competitive.  Please be sure that you are showing up on time and communicate with your coach if you will not be there.  Rosters will be updated shortly, as we did have a few late sign ups that we added.  Good luck this week and keep remembering that this is for the kids.  Have Fun!

Review website for updates and information

This year has a few fun twists and things to ease some demands normally placed on the parents.  We will have coaches who run the practice sessions during the week, so parents won't have to.  They will be teaching skills, strategy, and creating fun competition throughout practice.  Take a look at practice times and you will see that players are now practicing by age level and not by team.  We will still be needing parents to manage & coach teams on Saturdays so please still volunteer for that.  You may also notice there is no practice time slot for high school age students, due to the many commitments pulling at them in school and the possiblity of them competing in house athletics.  For the high school students, we will have open field/pick up games after the middle school has finished on Saturdays and they will still have an opportunity to play each Saturday, just in a different fashion.

AISL Saturday Soccer is a volunteer-run recreational soccer league open to all kids at AISL.  We run leagues for close to 400 boys & girls from Pre-K through the top of the school with games normally taking place on Saturdays with late afternoon practices at AISL during the week.
Each league comprises kids from 2 or more grades and generally consists of 4-6 teams of 10-13 kids each that play each other in a round-robin format for around 10 games between September & December.  We conduct try-outs (this year on 3 September) to try and ensure leagues are a skill balanced as possible.  Soccer strips, shorts and socks are provided but kids are expected to supply there own boots, shin guards (mandatory) and enthusiasm.

The photo page and the rest of the info on this website should give you an idea of what we're all about but if you need more, please feel free to e-mail using the Contact AISL Soccer link in the sidebar.

Although we do have proper coaches during the week to run practices, we will rely entirely on parents to coach and coordinate each league on Saturday, so please sign up or contact me if you want to help.

We're looking forward to a great season (without too much rain!) - we hope you are too !!

  • Adjustment in 3rd Grade Schedule
We are making an adjustment to the 3rd grade schedule due to some mismatches of teams.  Although it may be fun for one team to win by a lot of goals, it's not fun for the team on the losing end.  With that in mind we are taking the teams that seem to be better match ups for one another and having them play each other for the last two weeks.  Thanks for understanding and helping our kids to understand what sportsmanship, teamwork, & cooperation are.
