A detail of the tulips and tulip leaves. This was the trickiest part of the project for me because I originally envisioned the tulips going farther up the sides of the bezel and it just didn't look right. I was stalled on this part of the pendant for quite a while until I finally hit on this idea of tucking them under the cab to keep the piece more vertical. I also had trouble with the X's. I couldn't get them quite right. I tried engraving them (though my skills aren't very polished to say the least) and letter stamps made them too vertical instead of squat and square. I finally ground off the tip of a small Phillips screwdriver and used that. It was perfect and just what I was going for. The blades on the windmill actually turn.
