ROCKHAMPTON, Queensland, Australia (July 13, 2011) -- U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpls. Chris L. Kusnierz, left, and Jonathon P. Ashley, right, machinegunners with Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, III Marine Expeditionary Force, conduct a weapons drill demonstration with a .50 caliber machine gun for Australian Defence Force service members on Camp Rocky in Rockhampton during Talisman Saber 2011. TS11 is a biennial combined training activity designed to train Australian and U.S. forces in planning and conducting Combined Task Force operations to improve Australian Defense Force/U.S. combat readiness and interoperability. CAMP HANSEN, OKINAWA, Japan -- A rifle range coach fires a single shot at a target 25 yards downrange in a three second time limit Sept. 1, 2005. Effective Oct. 1, shooters will see improvements made to the marksmanship training program. Shooters will receive five extra rounds at the 200-yard, slow fire and can use them alternatively or simultaneously in whichever positions they choose.
