Having conquered breakfast and lunch, Greggs plots dinner trade The UK’s fastest growing baker is planning a militant take-over of end of day trade. Gregg’s chief executive Ken McMeikan today told press the company would launch an attack on the take-home food market as it seeks new revenue streams in a tough consumer environment. Having conquered a market share of the breakfast trade in 2010, as well as expanding its healthy eating options for lunchtime, Greggs is now drawing up plans for end of day business. "Our challenge to ourselves is what would you do with that space and how would you then get your customers to come back in, probably on their way home," McMeikan said. The baker, which usually closes in the early afternoon, will look at entirely different product ranges to supplement a dinner trade. McMeikan would not give precise product details but said "It will be more sort of bags for sharing and product that would be probably more aimed at eating at home." The new range is likely to be available in the final quarter for 2011 or the first quarter for 2012. Optionetics 2006- 14 CDs
