A Leopard in 'NU' clothes
Adjacent to the surgery I work in there is a sports centre and from time to time a bus or coach will roll up and disgorge a load of schoolkids, armed and ready for footbal or basketball or whatever. Usually the vehicles are fairly routine affairs, but this one caught my eye, first of all because it was a Duple 320, not a type that is a frequent visitor hereabouts these days; and much more so because this particular Duple 320 sported a Leyland Leopard badge. I spoke to the driver, who was also the owner. He told me that he is pareticualry fond of this member of his fleet. It's reliable and still capable of well over 60 mph. It started life at Mayne's of Manchester, he told me, and had a Willowbrook body at an earlier stage in its career. Now I can find references to MJI5765 as a Plaxton Supreme bodied Leopard, which used to be SNC 365X, but that vehicle appears to be preserved with its orginal registration, so I guess this is a different Leopard. Googling around has not really got things straight in my head and I'd be grateful for clarification!

Ah, Leopard. It's great. I love new OSs, especially when they're making something great even greater.
