The car seat's enhanced head wings shield the head and face while a head rest limits neck movement. Assembled in the United States, the car seat meets all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards for Child Restraint Systems (FMVSS 213) and Flammability of Interior Materials (FMVSS 302). It is also certified for air travel when used with the plane's seat belt.

May 1966 blurb for this Standard-Triumph advertisement ran (away!) with the idea that people came in all sizes and that the 1300 would fit them all with no fewer than 81 combinations of seat position and an adjustable steering wheel. So chock-full of safety features that only the shock absorbing steering column got a mention they then banged on about the 'full-flow' heater ventilation system and seats perforated so that they feel air-conditioned and let air circulate. Accolades from the Daily Mirror ( I have never tried more comfortable seats), Car Magazine ( car of the year) Autocar ( best small car available ) were trumpeted. Grand finale being Stirling Moss no less writing in the Queen ( a society magazine of the time) who said " I cannot see how they do it for the money. To clinch the deal Standard -Triumph offered to give away a full colour book full of pictures and the hard facts to make the 1300 a sophisticated investment. Popular with driving schools I recall.

Walking to the C-Train station last night to head downtown I saw this gorgeous truck drive past me... Thankfully the owner parked it in front of a local martial arts studio... A friendly guy, he told me it's a recent restoration of a 1979 International Scout II Traveller, being a Traveller with a longer wheelbase it can seat seven people... The black soft top was custom made for this truck, creating a great yellow and black colour combination... Of course I always do my best to take a more creative photo of my automotive finds, hope you all like it... :-)
