That's basically what my colorimeter has been reduced to. More headaches with the new computer and 64 bit operating system. The Xrite Monaco Optix XR software drivers are compatible with 64 bit, but the device itself is not. Direct quote from Xrite's site: "Several customers have found this unsupported workaround to work with both the 64-bit versions of Vista and Windows 7. That said, our own internal testing has not borne this out, and we have found that it may in fact cause blue screen lockups. Because of this we cannot support this workaround on 64 bit systems." They recommend I replace it with the i1Display2, which is of course another $200. Would this have prevented me from getting 64-bit Windows 7? Probably not. I can't imagine choosing to have my RAM power limited in exchange for not having to replace my calibration device. But still, it's frustrating. © All rights reserved.
