If you want to create a separate copy of FPSC for use with AirMod or other modifications, check out this tutorial. Welcome to the official site of AirMod! AirMod is a modification of the First Person Shooter Creator engine. More information on FPS Creator can be found here: What is AirMod? AirMod is a modification of FPS Creator designed to be an open library for FPS Creator modders. This means that AirMod will always be 100% free and open source (with the exception of AirMod Special Edition). Why use AirMod? AirMod greatly expands the potential of FPS Creator by removing hard-coded limitations and adding new features to the engine, all while treating recurring errors ("bugs"). Additionally, due to its open source nature, it is an ideal platform for artists to base their media upon and still have it work in other 3rd party modifications. AirMod even has the potential of becoming intergrated with official updates from The Game Creators. AirMod adds many new features to FPS Creator. To name just a few, it offers down-the-sights aiming, alternate fire (ex: grenade launcher attached to a rifle), improved support for melee weapons (blocking, alternative attack animations) and an improved accuracy system. Of course this isn't all - many more features are already in AirMod and even more are soon to come! AirMod - For Developers Are you developing a modification for FPS Creator? You've come to the right place! AirMod is an ideal base to begin with when making an FPS Creator mod. The developer package comes with the full source code, which you can either begin modifying or you can transplant the new code into your own source. The main reason to use AirMod is so that your mod is fully compatible with AirMod-ready content. Supporting AirMod means your also supporting entities and weapons designed specifically with AirMod in mind, usually with special scripting commands or additional gunspec parameters. Visit the AirMod Content Page for information on popular AirMod content. |
