Solar Hot Air (Day 2)

I spent the better part of today working on Al's solar space heater. We struggled to build the hot box port which is 46" x 7'. Lots of complex cuts due to the design of this space heater. I definitely would do things differently, such as: - base design off a single window frame - use ducting to connect to window, or through wall of home - allow hot box to easily be rotated to SouthEast and SouthWest orientations - use no wood, only 1" blue board - use diamond lath + cement + black paint - air intake on bottom, avoid floating metal in center

Day #23 - Hot n Cold

I was at a loss... so when I went to rent a DVD tonight, I decided to take a picture of the air thing. Not sure what it's called, but thought it looked cool anyway. It was FREEZING today, so I had to use the heater! So sad that one day it's nearly 70, then it goes back to low 40s. Sick.
