Welcome to Air Fresno.
In the decade since this virtual airline was launched many changes have come to this hobby. Management systems have been invented making flight reporting more accurate and automatic, and there are literally hundreds of thousands of add-on’s available. In that more than ten years Microsoft has released five versions of their flight simulator, each with more features than the previous version.
Virtual airlines are also easier to create, ten years ago having your own domain name was a sign that your airline was a force to be reckoned with, now it’s a sign of legitimacy. In the early days of this hobby it wasn’t fashionable to have a virtual airline patterned after a real-world airline, now some of the best airlines available are based on the actual operations of their parent companies. It would be anyone’s guess as to how many virtual airlines there are, but the number would be in the thousands.
This airline started out as a small regional virtual airline when it was planned in 1997. When it opened four months later it began setting the trends for virtual airlines, and continued to for many years. Today the Air Fresno name is one of the most recognized of all original concept virtual airlines, and remains as one of the most desirable regional airlines to fly for. We here at Air Fresno don’t take that sort of reputation lightly, it was built over time and with considerable effort.
I’d like to welcome you to the airline. As only the second CEO to head this airline I take not only my job but that legacy seriously. I’m sure you will find your time here enjoyable.
Sincerely,
Sarah McKay, CEO
