Bath Tap Valves : Hayward Diaphragm Valve Bath Tap Valves
Wray Common Trough What a sight for sore eyes, having cycled up Reigate Hill from Redhill (or is it Red Hill from Redhill, I dunno). Anyway, a beautiful old type 1D 9'6" long Metropolitan horse trough, still featuring its cistern tank and apparently plumbed in, including the drinking fountain, despite it being turned off. Dog trough underneath all full of the usual junk and main trough full of soil for flowers - but no flowers? I don't know why the bath seems to be so low to the ground, I guess the pavement has been raised but not recently by the look of it. At the corner of Batts Hill and Croydon Road. Note also the metal cover for the subterranean stop tap close by. If troughs disappear, evidence such as this may be all we ever find :-( I probably could have gotten away with using the flash here, but let's just say I'm aiming for that moody, looming monolith effect :-) It really is best viewed large. The hot supply, closest to us, appears to be ¾", the cold is ½", and there is unfortunately no obvious place to put isolation valves in.
