I decided to us the convection oven option on the appliance instead of the microwave option to cook chicken... Still used the plastic cover. That wont happen again, since the plastic turned to goo and sealed the chicken on the plate. It was perfectly clear and flat around the edges like saran wrap. I pulled it off with a pair of tongs and it started to harden immediately resulting in this plate, chicken, hard plastic mess.
