We are pleased to inform our membership that our local AIChE section is an Approved Sponsor of continuing Professional Competency activities for Professional Engineers licensed by the State of North Carolina.  The section received the designation as an Approved Sponsor in October 2006.   

As of 10-26-2010, Professional Engineers  have earned 145 Professional Development Hours by attending our AIChE section meetings.

Meeting Announcement - 11-16-2011

Please join us on Wednesday, November 16 at the University Club for the next meeting of our AIChE Eastern NC Section.  Nick Zentil of Titan Metal Fabricators will speak on Corrosion Resistant Alloys in Process Equipment Design.  The social starts at 5:30 PM, with a buffet dinner at 6:30 PM and the talk at 7:00 PM.

We have scheduled a tour of Monsanto's Research Greenhouse Facility on Friday, April 8th - see details in the Meeting Announcement 4-8-2011.
 
The tour will begin promptly at 12:30 PM, so please arrive a little early.
 
Note that you should wear closed toe / closed heel shoes, leg covering and safety glasses.
 
We will have an optional lunch at 11:30 AM at the Rudino's off South Miami Blvd.

Meeting Announcement - 9-17-2010

We have lined up a tour of the SAS Solar Farm from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Friday, September 17th.  Parking is not available at the Solar Farm, so we need to meet at 1:30 PM to van pool from the Murphy Center at the NC State University Carter-Finley Football Stadium.

Space is limited so please RSVP early, but by September 9th at the latest.They have asked for company names or to indicate if you are retired or a university student.

Automation Forum - 12-08-09
 
AIChE is partnering with ISPE and ISA to sponsor an automation forum for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.  The forum will be held on Tuesday, December 8th from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM
at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center.
Since AIChE is a co-sponsor, our members may register 
at the $40 ISPE member rate.  
This should be an excellent educational and networking opportunity for 
our AIChE members!

water conservation and resue options. 
 
The symposium is sponsored by the ISPE and will take place on
