Just World Festival

The idea of the Just World Festival came from an already-existing festival in Washington D.C., called the Green Festival. As the officers attended the Green Festival, they were motivated to bring it down to a student level, and present the information in a more fun and engaging manner. This led to the Just World Festival, an annual tradition that began in 2006. Each year, the Festival draws in over 500 students from all over the IB Mid-Atlantic region and many other schools to AHS. The event features speakers about a variety of different issues and experiences, exhibitions from organizations and student clubs from around the region, and lots of food and dance! Please visit our Photo Galleries and our Archives pages to find more information about the previous Just World Festivals.
