Education:

Bachelor degree STUDENT in Industrial Engineering- industrial management major from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), expected to graduate this summer (2008) after I complete my training.

 

Some of the courses taken in the university include: Statistical quality control, Facility planning, Operations research, Operations management, Simulation, Motion and time study, Manufacturing process, Cutting tools, Machinery, and Automation. I also took Psychology and Sociology as free subjects. 

By the end of each course, I did a project in any chosen factory that is related to the subject taken, a power point presentation for the project was also done.

 

Graduation project: 3-1-2008

Title: Lean analysis and simulation of Al-Maged Est. in Syria.

Description:  The project was about analyzing the production system using lean tools like Value Stream Mapping, do cost accounting analysis for the production processes, simulate the production line using iGrafx simulation package, then suggest lean maintenance transformation steps for the facility.

 

Simulation project: 20-5-2007

Title: call center simulation using arena simulation package.

Description: simulation a hypothetical call center with a hypothetical requirements and limitations. The hypothetical situation was complex enough to have a good practice on Arena statistical package.

I worked in Al-Maged Est. for tube manufacturing, the company produces collapsible aluminum tubes used for packaging pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, practiced in most of the fields in the factory, from production to maintenance to the workshop to inventory management and.  

 

 

Fellowships:

Member in the IIE (Institute of Industrial Engineering an organization based in the United States of America aims to serve the industrial engineering profession). 

 

 

Interests and activities:

-I was the president of the IIE JUST branch for one year in which we planned and executed numerous activities.

- I was one of the establishing members of the Syrian Community in JUST, I was in charge and a participant in organizing many events for this community including a fair in the university (I was awarded because of it with other students worked on it).

- Reading.

- Basketball.

-I play some Piano.
