Christ at Thirty Three Heinrich Hofman This is my favorite painting of Jesus Christ,
my Lord and Savior. I remember it as a child and I still treasure
it. It has hung in the basement of Antelope Hills church since I was a little kid. I don't know exactly why I like this representation so much, but
the artist somehow has captured the ruggedness of Jesus in that he came
to live as a man, enduring all that any human can face including
temptation, even death and yet by the Spirit showed us how to live.
This picture also captures the compassion of Christ in his eyes and the
tenderness that flows through him and his deeds as he loved fully with
the Father's love. And just faintly you can see the cross across
the face of our Lord which reminds me that He died for our sins. Quite
a picture to look at and definitely one to think about. Dear Friends, I desire to serve and be used by God as teacher, pastor and counselor.
