Happy Flickr-Day to me ! Today is my THIRD (Flickr) Birthday ! ! ! Who would have thought I would make so many friends on what was to have been a "safe place to store images online as a back-up" .... well, that's why I joined :-) Then came all the sharing, fun, competitions, groups and friendships. As a way of saying "Thank You" to you all I have dug deep into the eNil archives to bring you The Four Ages of eNil ! ! ! Top Left: Me as a baby - There are precious few images of me as a baby because I was the second born and I think the novelty wore off in taking yet ANOTHER baby photo. Also, I was fug-ugly with all my features squashed into the lower third of my face ! Top Right: First days at school, aged 4 ? - My very first day is seared in my memory because I created a scene when my Mum had to leave me in the playground. The bell had rung and all the children stood still to line up for class and I made a bid for freedom. I had to be pulled kicking and screaming into the school as my Mum tried not to dissolve into tears. I even kicked and bit the school secretary who had been drafted in to subdue me ..... don't think she ever forgave me to be honest ! Bottom Left: The ubiquitous University mug shot that goes in the staff room so the lecturers can get to know you quicker. I was late going to Uni at the "mature" age of 22. I took a couple of years doing further education when i left school to try and get some better qualifications. Then, with my better grades I could only get work as a decorator. After a couple more years I got a job training in a Hospital Pharmacy as a technician. Finally, with that qualification I was able to get a place at University (well - it was a "Polytechnic" in those days but had become a Uni by the time I left) No A-Levels to my name but I got a degree - weird ! ! ! Bottom Right: Taken last year on our first anniversary trip to the Maldives ! 88.Good times to be remembered
Family times are something that should not be forgotten.Even if they are gone, they will be remembered in our hearts.
