- (Baseboard heater) As a type of heating equipment, a system in which either electric resistance coils or finned tubes carrying steam or hot water are mounted behind shallow panels along baseboards. Baseboards rely on passive convection to distribute heated air in the space.

On the left is a pipe. It used to be a baseboard convector that went all the way along the wall into the alcove. Since I don't want a heater inside the wall, I cut the convector down. Natural Convectors 8
