Affinity

Affinity

Affinity is the Agnes Scott College campus organization dedicated to providing a safe and supportive space for LGBTQIQ, identified and unidentified, people of color as well as advocating for the freedom of sexual and gender expression.

Our Mission is to offer voice and visibility to LGBTQIQ people of color.

Our Vision is to build community within our organization through discussion in mindful programming, in Agnes Scott College through collaboration with other campus organizations, and the metro-Atlanta area through service work.

We Value individuality, mutual respect for ourselves and others, safety, encouragement of open and mindful communication between different perspectives, raising awareness about diversity of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Our programming includes "safe meetings", Lavender Hour, intercollegiate and inter-organizational programming, volunteering with local organizations, participation in local events that embody Affinity’s vision, and mindful dialogues between people of diverse identifications and expressions.

We encourage ALL to participate in this organization.

We meet every other Wednesday @ 8pm, Alston Student Center, 226, Agnes Scott College.
