The scissors band - Scissor lamp. The Scissors Band
The 2010 Wrist Band Challenge When we went on holiday in May and had to wear an orange wrist band to get served in the resort, I thought I'd challenge myself to see how many I could collect over the rest of the year from events that I attended. Not that many, as it turns out, but that didn't make the challenge any easier. By the time I'd collected the wrist band for Bike Radar Live in July, my wrist would be festering like a dead man's fish tank when I woke each morning, due to the heat. And, when the rubber bands were added in August, it was even more horrible trying to dry under them after my shower in the morning. So, technically, I cheated from that point on by taking off the rubber ones during the night and would mostly forget to put them back on the next day after my shower. I figured the challenge was more about collecting wrist bands than ending up with the first recorded case of "trench-wrist", though, so I'm happy enough that I saw it through until the end of 2010. Then I added an extra week to the challenge by procrastinating on taking a picture of them all! But here it is, the 2010 Wrist Band Challenge is complete. Somebody pass me the scissors. The bands in order: The Great British Beer Festival The Commodore Hotel Beer Festival Helensburgh Beer Festival Friday Helensburgh Beer Festival Saturday Helensburgh Highland Games Fuerteventura Keepsake Fuerteventura all-inclusive resort pass (first event) Medical ID from an endoscopy (least fun event) Virgin's Name the Bands
Supposedly there are 72 band names hidden in this photo. How many can you find? Similar posts: snippy electric scissors shears cases paper rock scissors tournament chef kitchen shears my first fiskars scissors global scissors electronic scissors hair thinning shear black trauma shears |
