Butterflies chilling I was sitting on a log and barely noticed this little butterfly gathering taking place over the bank of Meadow Creek. I inched close enough to snap a few photos of the 6 or 7 monarchs relaxing in the sun. After a few minutes of admiring, the scene was disrupted by a rather energetic chocolate lab bounding down the stream. His owner, across the creek from me on a spur trail, stopped for a few minutes to wage war on a patch of poison ivy he found. Apparently he carries around a pair of gloves and hand-held electric pruning shears in his fanny pack. What a cool dude! 04-30 ET Japanese Garden SW3
