USED SCISSOR LIFT : KIDS WITH SCISSORS. Used Scissor Lift
DJ escape pod installed on lift at Solera in Minneapolis I designed and constructed this DJ booth for Solera's 2010 New Years Eve event. It was mounted on a scissors lift and launched at midnight. The DJ could go from 5' to about 20' above the dance floor with all of his expensive gear hanging off the side of the lift, riding on my design. Unfortunately, after a three day push I was too exhausted to stay for the party and actually see this creation in action, though I should've hung out for it. Tired as I was, visions of every conceivable disaster kept me awake and wondering well past last call. By all accounts, it was a hit, and I had so much fun working out the design. I liked the challenge of using nothing more than what I could find in Lost Staging's inventory of recycled materials. This was taken just after it was mounted and tested. The lift wobbled a bit and we decided to hang a sandbag off the back side, but the platform was totally solid and looked super cool up in the air. This project was done for Solera Resturant in Downtown Minneapolis by Lost Staging, and I thank you all for this great project! DJ escape pod installed on lift at Solera in Minneapolis
