I am a theoretical Astrophysicist working on stellar evolution, hydrodynamics, and nucleosynthesis. I get to simulate the lives of stars from birth to death, including supernovae and gamma-ray bursts, the biggest explosions in the universe. I'm particularly interested in how stars create the heavy elements from which we and our world are made. I like to see things in the night sky as well as on my computer screen, and to share them with others through education and outreach. I am an avid photographer, hiker, and backpacker, a traveler, and a dilettante at many other things. |
