  • Dr. Eissa has graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1993 with DVM degree. Few months later he was appointed as Teaching Assistant of Fish Diseases in the Department of Fish Diseases and Management. In 1997, he earned his Masters degree in veterinary sciences (MVSc) from the same department. By the end of the same year Dr. Eissa won a scholarship to do his Ph.D. in North America. Dr. Eissa spent two years writing research proposal, attending several American English training cousrses till he passed the TOEFL and GRE requirement determined by most of the North American Veterinary Colleges. In December 2000, Dr. Eissa left Egypt to Canada to persue his Ph.D. studies in Ontario Veterinary College, which is one of the most renowned veterinary colleges in Canada and worldwide. He suceeded to finish some basic course work in toxicology and toxicological pathology through the period between December 2000 to December 2001. Unfortunately, the main fish pathology advisor left the advisory committee upon his relocation to another university in Prince Edward's Island. After 6 months waiting period without recruiting the fish pathology advisory position, he found himself obliged to look for another university that has a challenging fish disease programs.
  • In January 2002, Dr. Eissa was sucessful in moving to Michigan State University where he joined the Ph.D. program in Department of Pathobiology and Diagnostic Investigation, College of Veterinary Medicine. Under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Faisal , who is a renowned aquatic animal health professor, Dr. Eissa was able to pursue high quality research in the field of aquatic animal pathology, microbiology, epidemiology and molecular biology. This high quality research entitled him to earn his Ph.D. in Aquatic Animal Pathology by the end of July 2005. The Ph.D. dissertation was titled " Bacterial Kidney Disease in Michigan Salmonids". Later, his Ph.D. dissertation became the main guidance book for approaching the Bacterial Kidney Disease in Salmonids in the Great Lakes basin and worlwide.
  • In September 2005, Dr. Eissa has returned back to Egypt after spending 5 years of contineous research in the most renouned Canadian and US universities. A period that ends up with a huge number of publications in different fields of fish diseases, diagnostics and therapeutics. Most of his work  was published in high ranked inetrnational journals such as Journal of Wildlife Diseases and Journal of Fish Diseases.
  • By the end of October 2005, Dr. Eissa was promoted to the job of lecturer of fish diseases  which is the first step in the teaching faculty ladder in this specialty.
  • Throughout the period between 2005 and 2009,  Dr. Eissa was able to publish several high quality research papers and attended large number of inernational as well as local conferences.
  • In June 24 , 2009 , Dr. Eissa was awarded the 2008 National Encouragement Award for Agricultural Sciences from the Egyptian Supreme Council of Science and Technology.
