Opposition - End of: "Those Damned Machines," RP. Deathblow: Raven (Tatiana)
[21:32] Chaotic Low twitched and spasmed as the man suddenly grasped her, her head beginning to twitch uncontrollably while her own arms wrapped around the creature making the pair look like a battered couple hugging then anything else. Why did she hug him? Who knew - she had no control over her limbs from teh blow to her head and the sounding alarm that would likely bother his ears at this close distance she spasmed and suddenly her arms would lock tighter, beginning to crush if she was able to hold on as if she was about to turn his ribs to dust. [21:34] Ayr Bosatsu keeps his arms about her, hugging her close. "Let it go." He'd jerk her body lightly, arms locking tighter, "Let it go. Just let it go." Another jerk, their bodies held tightly together. "Raven. Open Pandoras box. The case by my foot. In it theres a tool that will shut her down. Don't look into it directly. Don't even consider it. Just open it and rest it next to us." He'd look to Chaotics eyes, a frown - sincerely - on his brow. "I'm so sorry it had to come to this. I'm so very sorry," resting his chin on her shoulder he'd sink his weight down - freezing them both on the spot. "This is your victory Raven. For you and Mason. Do it.." [21:37] Raven blinks once then immediately moves over, well... more like limps over, dragging her leg behind her. Grunting in pain, she leans down, takes the case, glancing up at the two for just a moment before finally opening it. Her eyes close as she scoots it over, then uses what little strength she had left to push herself away. She didn't know what it was. Didn't know what it would do. She just wanted to get away from it. Resting against the railing, her eyes still closed, she brings her hands up to her face, dropping the dagger and just sits there. [21:42] Chaotic Low lowered under the guide of the mans hold, her metalic body bending to his will now except the occassional twitches and spasms, the alarm that sounded from her began to die as her circuits started over driving with the attempt to repair themselves - smoke issued from the holes he had pounded into her and her head canted to the side to lean against his, though the robot knew no affection it just happened to be her reaction to his form no longer harming her. An expell of steam and smoke issued from her bent mouth making it seem like she was sighing, though it was all an illusion while she whispered a final phrase - one that fit everything a robot stood for to its creator, to others, even to its self. "Dont let be lonely...." whether the knock to her head fixed her speech or not it was unclear for soon the lights were going out at home and her body was slipping away from her prey, her predator - her end. Chaotic dissolved and sucked into the box, not with a bang like the robot was known for but with a sorrow fit for the pack. [21:46] Ayr Bosatsu sliding his hands up her body he'd keep a hold of her - the grip lessening as Pandora would work over her systems. Sinking down and down he'd never let her go, a hand stroking through her hair comfortingly. "You're not..alone..you never will be again," Pressing his lips to the side of her head he'd purse his lips together - stifling his own tears as he heard each hiss of steam, knowing it was almost over. "I'll always be here," the first sniff broke from his nose - body swaying back and forth as he rocked her gently. It didn't take long for a tear to creep down his muddied face - writing a line straight down his cheek through the dirt, still rocking. Still rocking. Pressing his lips to her head again he'd rest his own to hers, taking in staggered breaths as he continued to sway unyieldingly - trying to comfort the machine in its final moments of existence until she was dragged from his grip. He'd sit there - staring down at his hands where she was, frozen in that moment. [21:50] Raven 's body started shaking at the hissing sounds, and then the words from the two. Her thoughts flash to Mason as the maching pleads to not be alone, and her own tears start to streak down her face. Raven knew what it was like to feel alone. She had felt it when the humans kicked her from their house and kept Mason locked up. Why did she feel pity for this thing? It hurt her family. Still, though... she can't help the sorrow that washes over her. Her leg was broken, ribs broken, and her shoulder was sore from catching herself on the building, but she managed to scoot over to Ayr and look up at him, being very careful to avoid the box, "Should I take the box to the others?" she whispers, not sure how he's going to respond. Her thoughts still moved to the rest of her family, and she wanted nothing more than to help them too before they were lost. [21:53] Ayr Bosatsu would sit there for the longest time - hands dropping down into his hair as he tugged on each and every black strand in a frenzy. "I ..only just co

The battle of the St Quentin Canal 29th of September to the 2nd October 1918 The Fourth Army was in front of the Hindenburg Main System. In front of the system was the St Quentin Canal except for a short section where the canal ran in a tunnel. In the gap were five lines of trenches, belts of wire and cover from reserves in the tunnel itself on the ground over the top of the tunnel. These had to be overcome before the main position could be reached. The position consisted of a front trench and a support line which was about 300 yards behind it. There were wire belts, concrete machine gun and field gun emplacements. Below the support line the tunnel hid the reserves. Behind the main system were the Hindenburg Support Line and Hindenburg Reserve Line- this was also known as the Beaurevoir Line. These were both single, partly constructed lines. On the 8th of August 1918 the plans of the defences had been captured.” It contained the situation of every dugout ,machine gun emplacement, battle station and headquarters, sound ranging, flashed washing and observation posts, even barrage lines. It also revealed signal communications, electric power installations and ammunition and supply depots, railheads, billets, balloon sheds and landing grounds. The scheme was unabated differently drawn up early in 1917 On the 29th of September 1918 the order of battle of Fourth Army was: IX Corps 6th,1st, and 46th Divisions the last having relieved the 4th Australian Division which went into rest. 32nd Division in reserve The Australian- American Corps The 30th and 27th American Divisions,( which relieved the 1st Australian of the Australian Corps and 74th in 18th Divisions of the III Corps). The 5th and 3rd Australian Divisions in support 2nd Australian Division and 5th Cavalry Brigade( 2nd Cavalry Division) in reserve III Corps: 12th Division (which relieved the 58th) 18th Division in reserve XIII Corps: In army reserve 25th , 50th , and 66th Divisions from the Fifth Army Cavalry Corps: The 1st and 3rd Cavalry Divisions 4th Guards Brigade, Household Machine Gun Brigade, 34th Brigade (11th Division with the Canadian Corps) as Army Troops Tanks III Brigade: 5th and 9th Battalion’s Mark V 6th Battalion Whippets attached to IX Corps. IVth Brigade 1st and 4th Battalion’s Mark V American 301st Battalion Mark V-star attached the Australian American corps Vth Brigade first Battalion with its eighth 13 Mark 516 Mark V-star and 17th Armoured Car Battalion attached to the Australian and American Corps. Royal Air Force: Vth Brigade increased to 17 squadron’s: nine fighter, one fighter reconnaissance, one-day bomber, one night bomber and five corps totalling 337 aircraft with 48 temporarily unserviceable. Operation orders were issued on the 22nd of September 1918 IX and III Corps were to secure the preliminary objective. If III Corps could not capture it American II Corps was to do so the objective was the top of the ridge overlooking a broad valley with tunnel heel over the canal tunnel beyond the allotment of objectives Australian American Corps The two American divisions would capture the first objective then the Australian divisions would leapfrog and capture the second objective, and American divisions go on and exploit to the right and left The IX Corps was to attack simultaneously with the Australian- American Corps capture both objectives and exploit southwards to assist the French First Army III Corps was to hold a defensive front between the Australian American Corps and Third Army until the former reached the first objective and began exploitation when it would mop up the ground west of the canal. III Corps did not seize the preliminary objective before 74th and 18th Divisions handed over to the American 27th Division. General Rawlinson gave lengthy reasons in writing On right the 30th Division was on the start line. However the American 27th Division needed to conduct a preliminary operation to gain its start line. At 5:30 a.m. on the 27th of September the 53rd Brigade moved after a gas and High Explosive bombardment with a barrage fired by nine field brigades supported by 12 tanks of the IV Tank Brigade. The weather was poor and no air support was possible. The objective was reached in places. Gillemont Farm was taken and lost again. German counter-attacks drove the 27th Division back to the position it started at. The tanks reached the objective but five were disabled in a minefield. Two supply tanks were hit, one ditched but two loads of ammunition were delivered. The failure to capture the start line complicated preparation it was impossible to alter the barrage despite American casualties lying in No Man’s Land. The American 27th Division was to form up as near as possible to the barrage line an hour before zero and with additional tanks fight its way forward to t
