What is CampusCruiser and what is WebAdvisor? Think of CampusCruiser as your communications hub where you will find announcements, campus calendars, and your RCC e-mail account. WebAdvisor is a place to manage and monitor your academic life. You can log into these separately but WebAdvisor can also be conveniently accessed from inside CampusCruiser--just click on the WebAdvisor tab. When the two are packaged together, you have one less password to remember. Grades ceased to be mailed with the summer 2009 term. Students will need to view MY GRADES in WebAdvisor. See TUTORIALS tab at left. Who is my advisor? Check "My Profile" in WebAdvisor. Please note that beginning the Fall 2011 term much work will be done to update all advisor/advisee assignments. As a part of the process, some students may also be re-assigned to a new advisor. Who are my instructors? See "My Class Schedule" in WebAdvisor Can you print my class schedule for me? You can print it yourself in CampusCruiser/WebAdvisor. Be sure to see My Class Schedule in WebAdvisor. How many times can I miss a class before I am dropped? See "Academic Policies and Procedures" in your RCC Catalog and read your syllabus. When is the last date to drop a class with a "W"? See the on-line Academic Calendar or refer to the current RCC Catalog. For non-standard classes, see your syllabus. How do I know which classes I need to take? Work closely with your advisor and know the course requirements in your degree program. See your RCC Catalog. You will also find helpful information about mapping your progress in the Commencement Central and Advising Central webpages. You can find program requirements on each degree program's webpage. Where can I find information about my status as a student? Your personal, academic and financial aid profiles can be found in WebAdvisor. You can get there by logging into CampusCruiser. How do I drop a class after the term begins? As a student, you should initiate the drop form found here. Watch the academic calendar for withdrawal deadlines and discuss intended registration changes with Financial Aid or your third party sponsoring agency. How can I get a copy of my transcript? You can print an unofficial list of your graded course work at RCC in WebAdvisor through the CampusCruiser portal. If you need this information for a potential employer or another educational institution, you will probably need an official transcript. You obtain an official transcript by completing, signing, and submitting the RCC Transcript Request. Please note the detailed instructions on the form about the transcript fee. Why do I have a student ID number? RCC respects your privacy and the integrity of your personal data. We recommend that you memorize your personal student identification number and use it on campus in lieu of a social security number. |
