2008 November 26 - sunshade can cozy from leftover material. Prototype size is 4 x 12". Improvements for version two: - increase length to 15" - fold to get a double layer of insulation - make reversible so reflective surface is on inside for hot drinks? (maybe not necessary because back side of reflective film appears silvered too) - two notches clipped from the top and bottom of the material would allow it to be easily fit around a large mug by allowing space for handles - change shape of material to (curved?) isosceles trapezoid to allow for cups with tapered bottoms - add tab to bottom of the cozy to act as an attached "coaster" and provide insulation from hot surfaces* The purpose of this cozy is not entirely to insulate a drink, but to also provide protection for hands from extremely hot or cold surfaces. It should also be easily portable and accommodate various container sizes and to a lesser extent, shapes. (I know it just looks like a plain ol' strip of material, but there IS some thought involved here, hahahaha :)
