I am sad to have to report that Kathryn, one of our Bengalese finches, passed away just after 6pm today. She had been poorly but seemed to pick up after we gave her some tonics and supplements. However, she was still sleeping quite a lot, although eating and drinking. We had just had our tea and were about to have tea and coffee, so had sat down in the lounge. (I hadn't been having my best day ever anyway, and had spilt some parakeet seed earlier. Seems insignificant now, compared to what has happened since.) Kathryn fell to the bottom of the cage and passed away in the next few minutes. We loved her very much and will miss her deeply. She was so beautiful and gentle: a pure white angel.
