We are happy to announce the second annual
National Clean Dog Park
Awareness Week
March 20-26, 2011
If you love your dog park and want to help, please join us. How can you help?
- Adopt your local dog park: Walk the park each time you visit, picking up piles and trash that others have missed.
- Get the word out and engage others to adopt a park.
- Talk to dog owners, pet suppliers, pet sitters, dog trainers, pet groomers, doggie daycares, boarding facilities, agility groups, veterinarians, dog boutiques, dog walkers, dog fencing companies, ASPCA, humane societies, dog rescue groups, obedience schools, pet shops, pet photographers, and anyone else involved with or interested in dogs. Is that enough ideas?
- Let your municipality know that you care about your dog park and are willing to help. Find out if your dog park is at risk of closing due to limited funding.
- Send me pictures of your dog enjoying dog park time and I'll post as many of them as I can. I'd love to show off your furry friends. Send them to LetsAdoptaDogPark@gmail.com
- Pledge to adopt a park by e-mailing me LetsAdoptaDogPark@gmail.com , and I'll list your park's name on our page--your name too, if you like.
- Thanks to our sponsors for their help in supporting this site. You can visit them by clicking their links at the bottom of the page, or at the top of the sidebar.
