Nov.29 Sat. TdF Castaic Workers' Ride (80 miles)

WORKER'S RIDE

We're Baaack.

It's that time again, the Tour de Francis "Three (Four?) Lakes" Century Ride in December  (We counted, it's got 4 lakes along the route: Castaic, Hughes, Elizabeth, Quail).

You'd better be training for this: Lots of base miles, hills, and getting acclimated for cold-weather (45 degrees in the morning, 60 in midday).

We are having the "workers' ride" prior to the event, for volunteers who won't be riding on race day, and for newbies who want to try out the route. This ride is self-supported, 80 miles long, and will only have 2 Refuel Stops. It's a good chance to try out your fitness.  If you can't finish this ride in 6 hours, it's best instead to be a "support crew" volunteer.

FOR THE WORKERS RIDE, MUST BRING:
-Cash (enough to buy water/gatorade/food at the local store)
-3 water bottles
-Foldable jacket/vest, arm/leg warmers
