due to long line of cars getting into the park.

Have your $11 cash ready to minimize wait. DIRECTIONS:
NORTH 5 FWY
EXIT Lake Hughes Road
RIGHT Lake Hughes Road
LEFT Old Ridge Route
RIGHT Castaic Lake Drive
RIGHT into Castaic Lake State Park ENTRANCE ($10 per car)
QUICK LEFT Turn to West Ramp. Drive up 1.3 miles to START Line. Must park your car at top of bluff, not at the bottom of the park.
You have only 30 mins to get ready for the group start at 7:30am. Suggest that before you leave your house, already wear your kit, pump your bike tires, fill up your bottles, and check your equipment.
Come Prepared: This is no ride for beginners. You must have trained and be in shape for this. If you cannot complete a moderately hilly century within 8 hours, we suggest you instead volunteer for the support crew this year, and train for future stages. Otherwise you may exceed the time limits. You'll be asked to turn around if you reach the checkpoints beyond the time limit. A "can do" attitude is wonderful (and necessary), but only if you have the physical conditioning.
Time Limits:
9:45am Lake Elizabeth / Mile 24 (2 hrs 15 mins)
11:15am Three Points / Mile 40 (3 hrs 45 mins)
If you arrive at these checkpoints AFTER the time limit, you'll have to turn around; You can't proceed to Quail Lake because there is still serious climbing ahead, and at that pace you cannot finish 100 miles before dark (5pm, temperature 45 degrees, no support vehicles after 3:30) Route Description: GoogleMap ROUTE Route sheet will be available soon.
Volunteers welcome: These events are possible only with the help of fun-loving, humorous, loyal, trustworthy, and motivated individuals who operate the fixed rest stops and roving support.
