ADOBOVELO's 2nd ANNUAL RACE SERIES
Two CRITERIUMS
Two INDIVIDUAL HILL CLIMB TIME TRIALS
Format:
- Two Carson Criteriums: CAT A race is 50 mins plus 5 laps. CAT B race 30 mins plus 5 laps. CAT B will start first.
- Two Palos Verdes Individual Time Trials: 6 mi w/ 1500 ft elevation gain. Seeding based on Crit results. Riders go individually every 60 secs

Race 1 - Mar 5 – Carson Crit 4002 Vir Oro Ave LB
Race 2 - Apr 2 – PV ITT Wilson Park. Start line = corner of PV North PV East Race 3 - Aug 13 – Carson Crit 4002 Vir Oro Ave LB Race 4 - Oct 22 – PV ITT Wilson Park. Start line = corner of PV North PV East Eligibility Requirements:
-Must be 2011 member
-Must sign LIABILITY RELEASE
-Must wear and buckle helmets during race. Subject to DQ/DNF.
-Single speed and fixed gear bikes are not allowed for racing
-Adobovelo kits must be worn (Exemption: New members who don't have kits)
Race Day Sched:
7:00 am Ground/Course preparations by volunteers
8:00 am Registration
8:30 am Start
9:30 am Break
12:00 pm Completion - For PV ITT, Register at Wilson Park, then bike to start line at corner PV North/ PV East
- Rain, road closures, or disasters will cancel event
- These are public roads open to vehicular traffic. Please give priority to safety and traffic laws. Prizes:
PREEMs and TOP RACE FINISHERS, TOP CUMULATIVE POINTS LEADERS What's a "PREEM"? Short for Premium. It's a "race-within-a-race", where riders sprint on a designated lap or at a certain point in a race for preem prizes. It makes the race interesting, and gives more exposure to sponsors.
Points :
•1st place = 30 points
•2nd place = 20 points •3rd place = 15 points •4th place = 12 points •5th place = 10 points •6th place = 8 points •7th place = 7 points •8th place = 6 points •9th place = 5 points •10th place = 4 points •11th place and below = 2 points •Preem Winner = 2 points •DNF = 1 point (Did Not Finish) •DNS = 1 point (Did Not Start) - Riders Not finishing the race will be marked as a “DNF” (Did Not Finish)
- Riders not able to report to the starting line will be considered “DNS” (Did Not Start)
- Final Points Leaders will be awarded based on their cumulative points.
Insurance:
- The ITTs are covered by club insurance. The Crits are NOT.
Guidelines:
- Please heed race marshals/volunteers. They may occasionally ask you to move. They are there for the safety of participants and the surrounding community and public.
- Arrive an at least an hour before your race.
- Please be attentive, you alone are responsible to being at the start on the appointed time
- No loitering 20 feet around the starting area - Line up behind and off the road (allow regular vehicular traffic to flow un-impeded).
- After crossing the finish line, move off the race course (do not continue to bike on the course) Category A:
