Bine aţi venit! 欢迎! أهلا وسهلا بك Poll Result and Schedule 2011 Hello everyone, First of all, thank you for having been so many to answer the poll (33/84). After counting, the results are as following: 1- Cinema (34 points) 2- Bowling (33 points) 3- Friendly meals (32 points) 4- Sand yacht (28 points) 5- Karting (28 points) 6- Amusement park (25 points) 7- Visit of Nausicaa (17 points) 8- Laser Game (16 points) 9- Cultural events with the APEPAC (15 points) 10- Discovery of the surrounding cities (8 points) 11- RC Lens soccer match (5 points) 12- InQuest (4 points) 13- Visit of the museum of the mine Lewarde (4 points) 14- Entertainment at the hippodrome (4 points) Principle of the counting is : ++ = 2 points, + = 1 point, - = -1 point, -- = -2 points, in case of equality the largest number of ++ is determining. According to these results, we chose, in agreement with our budget, to propose some events: • February 24th : free cinema night at Douai Majestic • March 10th : Laser Game in Douai (full price) • March 17th : Saint-Patrick’s party in a bar in Douai • March 31th : bowling night in Douai (1 game free ) • April 16th : RC Lens – Brest soccer match (full price) • April 28th : free cinema night at Douai Majestic • May 19th or 26th (according to the weather) : barbecue • May 19th or 26th (according to the weather) : bowling night in Douai (1 game free ) • June 18th or 25th (according to the weather) : sand yacht (partly paid by the ADMID) The choice was made to focus on the four most popular activities, in particular in term of financing. Nevertheless, if some of you (at least ten) want to do an activity in particular which is not proposed, the ADMID is ready to bring a logistic support. Moreover, the sale of tickets of cinema will not be renewed this year because of its cost. Instead of this, two cinema nights entirely offered will be organized. In a practical way, the PhD or post-PhD students, necessarily provided with their badge of identification, will have to be at the cinema Majestic between 7:45 pm and 8 pm. The place for the movie of their choice will then be offered to them by the ADMID (films beginning at 8h30, any additional cost for 3D films will not be paid by the ADMID). It should be men- tionned that the cinema Majestic and the mines de Douai have a special partnership, i.e. any EMD student can go to this cinema for only 4€50. In the same way, two free bowling nights will be organized (one game only). NB: This schedule is for information only and may undergo modifications in the course of the year. The ADMID Welcoming day The welcoming to new PhD students will take place on Wednesday, January 5th. During this day, the ADMID will present its new office and its plans for the year ahead. An afternoon of presentations by PhD is planned, so the Admid is looking for volunteers PhD! To finish this welcoming day, the Admid asks you to join us to the bowling of Douai at 20h to relax and have some fun together (2€/game). To thank them, two bowling games will be offered by the Admid to PhD students presenting their work in the afternoon. Looking forward to see you there, The ADMID.
