Glogster will let you build themed digital posters.  Change the fonts, add links and video.  They look pretty high-gloss.

Looking for a free alternative to Microsoft Office? Try OpenOffice

OpenOffice offers all the functions of MS Office, but with none of the cost.  It really does everything you'd need: PowerPoints, Word Docs, Spreadsheets, etc.


How about a good, and getting better, online alternative to MS office?  Try Google Docs

The biggest benefit to using G Docs is that it is all online so you can access your presentations, docs and spreadsheets from any computer with internet access.

Don't like Weebly ?  Instead, try Wetpaint

Wetpaint lets you build a site just like Weebly, but it doesn't have a blog capability.  The layouts look decent though.

How about an online PowerPoint?  Try Prezentit

Prezentit is just like PowerPoint. You build slides, add video, links, etc.  The benefit is the different backgrounds not in the Office version and it's all online- you'd have access to it anywhere.

Want to tell your story in comic book fashion? Try Create a Comic 

It might be a little simplistic for HS needs, but it's fun nevertheless.  There are a bunch of characters, props and scenes to choose from to make it interesting.

WordPress is an independent blogging site. It's the one I've been using. It's newer on the scen and getting better.
