Team, I wanted to share this story of Integrity and Respect. On January 11, Jeff Cockrum, who works out of the Dallas OC, was bringing a load into the southern California market. Ahead of him on the I-40, he observed a 4-wheeler lose its driver-side wheel and tire and swerve across the roadway to the right shoulder. The car then rolled down an embankment. No one stopped or even slowed as the vehicle settled into the ravine. Jeff signaled to the shoulder of the roadway, put his four-ways on and proceeded to call 911 to get assistance for the persons in the vehicle. Jeff went down into the ravine as the vehicle was starting to smoke to check on the passengers and render assistance. Jeff found two persons in the vehicle with seat belts on (thank goodness). Although they were very shaken and scared, they were not severely injured. Jeff assisted them out of their vehicle and informed them that he had called for help. The two were very grateful and appreciated his kindness. Jeff’s response “it just was the right thing to do.” Thank you, sir — another guardian of the road. Pat Dillon Loss Prevention

Here is Otis in his carrier. I snapped this while stopped at a red light on the way to the Doylestown Veterinary Hospital yesterday morning. A ... very ... long ... 30-minute ... drive. Otis hates riding in the car. And this was his second trip in just a few days: He had already taken a ride down to the emergency vet on Saturday afternoon. And if that wasn't bad enough, car rides make him want to ... well, you know ... go to the bathroom. Unfortunately, the whole reason for these little excursions is some kind of urinary infection. Nice, huh? The poor little guy. I hope he understands on some level that we are trying to help him. We only want him to be healthy and happy.
