After having such a fantastic and happy weekend, my Macbook hard drive died last night. The last time I backed up (for whatever reason, thank god I did) was last month, so basically all the digital photos I took and all the film I scanned in the last month is lost. I'm really really sad about it. I tried to see if could recover the data, but no luck so far. Anyways, I got a new hard drive today and got my Macbook running again. On the bright side, in the last month I probably took only about 10-15% digital and the rest were on film, so I didn't really "lose" much. I still have my film negatives and I can rescan them. The worst thing though, is that all those photos I've scanned, especially the ones I took during the weekend will have to be scanned again. All those hours of scanning gone down the drain... such a waste. This was an expensive lesson: Back up your photos everyone!

I love this screwdriver kit that came with a tiny awl, as well as a.... well, we found it to be a magnetic pickup tool, but what the hell is that symbol?! No... flaming... alarm clocks? A shiny quarter to whoever can tell me what the hell that symbol means.
