University, Brandon University....

I received my Bachelor of Education from Brandon University in January of 1994....

I took the extended route in university... taking 5.5 years to finish a 4 year degree....

My first year I went to university scared of the courses... my best friend had graduated the year before I did... entered Brandon University... and failed half of her courses... our marks were the same in high school....

So... I got to university and busted my butt the first year... and did pretty good...

Then came my second year... I started with 10 half courses... finished with 6.... passed 5... although... I could tell you where every bar special was... and most of the popular bars knew me by name!

I decided that I needed to re-evaluate my life plans... and took a year off... I ended up working on my apprenticeship for a chef during that time, and cooked in several restaurants in Manitoba and Saskatchewan...

I chose to go back to university and get my degree in Education... I was no on probation because of my second year...

I went back... nose to the grindstone... and hit a clear B/B+ average that first year back... for the following year and a half, I out did myself... getting no lower than an A-.... finally graduating on the Dean's Honour Roll!

My major is in Elementary Education... with minors in General Science, Social Studies, and Native Art History....

Even though I've gone away from teaching, I still am proud of the fact that I went and got my degree... not many on either side of my family have gone on to university....

I got a bit of exercise pressing the 10 second timer on the camera and then running the length of the unit to get in place :) Strobist: Cactus V2 triggering 580EXII (set as master), camera right, you can see it peeking out between the door and frame, bouncing off ceiling, 2xCTO gels, @ 1/16 power... using Canon IR to trigger 580EXII (set as slave), camera left, rear, bare, 1xCTB gel, @ 1/32 power providing rim and crazy WTF shadow on the door. Ambient from Tungsten house lights. Update: Cactus V2s have been sold! Cactus V4s all the way.
