My husband, Shawn Rankin (a police detective for the City of Homewood), graduated with his Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Lawson State on May 9 at the BJCC. (I am over Career Services for Lawson and an instructor for Freshman Success.) He has attended numerous colleges off and on over the past 25 years while in the Army and as a police officer, but never completed a program of study until now. He will enroll soon to complete his Bachelor's at a local four-yr school. Dr. Kristie R.
