By my depiction of the thermostat, you know I had to celebrate waking up this morning to a cool 62 degrees! Of course I was not in Phoenix last night, but got a nice 24 hour "vacation" in Prescott, up in the mountains of north central Arizona. It was about 6:30 am when I got up and could not resist getting this photograph right away. It's been a long heat wave of about a month now in Arizona with temperatures hitting about 105 to 115 daily. Forget what you've heard about "dry heat": heat is HEAT and actually it's been humid here for weeks.

Friday 4th June marks the beginning of the end, or the end of the beginning... Opening night for the Degree Exhibition at the University of Wales, Newport where students from the degree course in Documentary Photograhy, amongst many others, will have work from their final year on show.
