The VSL summer high school girls league is a U18 league of high school based teams that plays a 9 game schedule running from late June to the end of July. Games are twice a week on Thursday and Sunday evenings. In 2009 this league featured high school teams from Lamoille, Enosburg, Milton, Spaulding, and Stowe high schools. This league is affiliated with the Vermont Soccer Association and is run in accordance with all Vermont Principal Association rules for the summer months. Additional league info may be found at http://www.vermontsoccerleague.org/. Dustin Corrigan will manage and coach AUSC's 2010 summer high school girls team.
The cost to play is $70 per player. This includes your summer VSA registration and VSL league fee. Uniform shirts will be provided. We’ll begin practicing on Sunday and Thursday evenings as soon as school lets out in June. Your medical release/registration form (see attachment at the bottom on this web page) and $70 fee are due to Dustin Corrigan May 7th, 2010. Registrations after May 7th will require an additional $15 late fee. Saturday July 25th, 2009 7:00 at BHS the Vermont Amateur Soccer League All-Star team, coached by Dustin Corrigan, tied the Vermont Voltage 2-2 in front of hundreds of Vermont soccer fans! The Vermont Voltage are a professional soccer team playing an exhibition season in 2008 versus predominantly United Soccer League Divsion 2 and USL Professional Development League teams. Historically, the Voltage have been among the strongest teams in the United Soccer Leagues and this year was no different making the draw and excellent result for the Vermont Amateur Soccer League. The VASL team gave up an early goal on a cracking shot from the Voltage's Tommy Skippiorski. VASL first half keeper, Trevor Quinn (Addison United) had no chance. The VASL side got one back later that half with some terrific forward play from Kyle Dezotell (FC Burlington) assisted by Ethan Martin (Rebellion). Ethan Martin later had a chance to put the VASL on top on a penalty kick, but missed it just wide of the left post. Tyler McNee (Rebellion) gave VASL the lead in the 89th minute unassisted dribbling through the Voltage defense and stuffing the ball near post past the Voltage Keeper. It had appeared the VASL side would take the match, but the Voltage surprised with a quick last minute goal heading home an early cross from a lightning fast run up the right flank. That ended the match a draw. Nonetheless, it was an exciting match and a milestone result for the VASL side.

Scholarships for playing with AUSC
Limited scholarships/fee waivers are availble to play with AUSC. Scholarships may be awarding on the basis of financial hardship. To request scholarship/fee waiver to play, send a written/e-mail request to Dustin Corrigan stating your hardship. Scholarship awards must be approved of the AUSC board.
Note: Scholarships may only be awarded to waive VSA, VSL, tournament, uniform, and club related fees that are paid though AUSC.
