Food Aid Rules & Regulations/Commodity Management
August 24-28, 2009  8:30am-4:30pm
Ghion Hotel
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

-- Come learn about US government supported food aid programs.

-- Share your experience with others in the field.  See what approaches they take to the problems that concern you.

The aim of this workshop is to train participants in the regulations that govern USG supported food aid programs and in the proper management of commodities from the time of reception to the consumption by the recipients.  In particular, the training will enable participants:

  • To identify the USG and PVO/NGO regulations
  • To apply the rules and regulations
  • To build into the program design elements that will enable us to meet the needs of the recipients in a cost effective and efficient manner

The workshop covers topics essential to a comprehensive knowledge of USAID Food Aid.
