Amanda Dalton
Amanda’s love and formal training started at
an early age when her mother enrolled her into her first ballet lessons
at the tender age of three. Looking back on those initial classes,
Amanda, unknowingly had f
ound the beginning of her path and purpose.
She continued to loyally train for 15 years at the Joee Shapiro School
of Dance in Houston, Texas under the direction of Joee Shapiro and
Maggie Dickey. Her early embrace of such studio instruction and
training benefited her skill development as she became well versed in
all types of dance; ballet, Jazz, modern and tap. Amanda studied with
renowned schools in Houston, Los Angeles and New York (Houston Ballet
Academy, The High School for the Performing Arts Houston and The Edge
Performing Arts scholarship program). As a student, Amanda assisted
several master instructors touring the United States and appearing on
several instructional videos for Dance America Sattler.
Amanda
performed professionally for the past 12 years for shows of the Vegas
Production of “Country Fever” (Dennis Levin’s Productions), DIFFA
Dallas (Design District fighting AIDS, performer and choreographer),
The Life Story of Elizabeth Taylor (NBC), Showtime Entertainment
Commercial and most recently Mary Kay Cosmetic Convention. Amanda was
also published in Dance Spirit Magazine, April 1999.
Artistically
she performed with Dancers Unlimited and Ground Level Dance Company.
She was an active performerr/participant in the Dallas community by
performing in Dance for The Planet and The Dallas Morning News Dance
Festival. She continues to train, traveling to New York and Los Angeles
often to take classes and stay on top of all the new teaching trends.
Amanda
has taught Dance for the past 12 years, not only locally in Dallas but
nationally as well. She has taught for several touring company such as
Dance Olympus, Dance Masters of America and for several private studios.
Amanda is a RYT/CPR certified Yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance and Faculty member of American Power Yoga since 2003.
She
also has instructed yoga at The Premier Athletic Club, Dallas Country
Club, Power Play Fitness, Yoga Power, and Dragon Fire Yoga.
Amanda is excited bring to the community the two best things in her life...dance and yoga!

After years of premier teaching all over LA and directing D-GEN,
Marisa Bain has recently relocated to Dallas. Instantly she provides one of the best Hip-Hop classes in the DFW
area. Her instruction in the Hip-Hop genre is top-notch with an emphasis in the
West Coast style.
Amanda Brown

Amanda Brown was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She studied theatre and dance at Eastern Michigan University, and went on to receive her MA from Kings College and The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England.
She flew back across the pond in 2003 to marry her prince charming,
Ryan, and they are living happily ever after! Their daughter
was born in 2007 and fills each day with sunshine. Amanda loves being
a wife and a mother, and considers Homemaking the job of her dreams.
