- MiKTeX 2.7 This is the typesetting system. If you have constant internet access, the basic installation should be sufficient.
- TeXnic Center TeXnicCenter is a feature rich integrated development
environment (IDE) for developing LaTeX-documents on Microsoft Windows
(Windows 9x/ME, NT/2000/XP) freely available under GPL.This is what you actually write the document in.
- MacTeX If you have a Mac, this should do everything for you. It is both the typesetting system and the GUI for actually writing your TeX code.
- Texmaker This is an excellent free cross-platform LaTeX Editor. I just started using it and I'm hooked.
- LaTeX wiki Start here to find out how to use LaTeX.
- Sample LaTeX homework solutions TeX file, the accompanying dvi file and the pdf file.
- LaTeX Reference Card by Joseph Silverman of Brown University.
- Here is a more versatile problem set/solution set template (it allows you to choose which as an option to the document class) with a professor in mind. It also includes the Suffolk logo as seen in the upper left of this page. Note that you also need the file suffolkLogo.eps for it to add the logo (save this in the same directory as the tex file). The documentation is pretty extensive within the tex file. You can check out a pdf of the problem set version. Or, if you want something a little smaller (i.e., without the Suffolk logo), here is the cleaner version.

- The Gipf Project This is one of my personal favorite series of abstract games. Start with Yinsh and never look back.
- Richard's Play-By-eMail Server A great way to play abstract board games by email or on the web.
