Getting Ready
Nursery Pictures
Daddy's Been Busy
Putting together the rocking chair on Christmas Eve with a little help from Sophia, our first baby. Putting together the swing over Christmas break. Putting together a bookshelf. English teachers' babies LOVE books! (To be fair, she does have a squishy toy police car as well.)
The Nursery
A great place for beauty sleep!
The changing table where mommy and daddy will have lots of fun! (Ok, so not really.) We made this cloth covered bulletin board to hang above. We plan to attach pictures of all of Adaira's great grandparents and other special momentos. We are almost finished with it. We just need a picure of Seth's Grandma Lee.
Here is a close-up of the bulletin board. Look at all of these good-looking people!
A bookshelf with some books and toys. The giraffe was picked out by Seth on the day we found out Adaira was going to be a girl. He carried it around Sam's with a big grin on his face like a goofy person. He is so precious!
This table and chair set was given to us by our beautiful niece, Miss Kaitlin Renee Gooch. (We were actually going to steal it from her room when she was outside, but we decided to be nice and ask. She was more than happy to donate it to our cause. She loves us bunches, and she doesn't exactly fit in the chairs anymore anyway.)
A fashion diva in the making! We have been truly blessed with several boxes of clothes. We don't think she will ever be able to wear all of them! Most of the clothes were given to us by Adaira's cousin, Brooklin, who is only 10 months older than Adaira. Brooklin and her big sister Bailee live across the street from us. We look forward to being surrounded by giggling, happy little girls for years to come.
She's Taking Over the House!
This is the glider and her Moses basket in the living room.
This is her bassinet in OUR bedroom! She will sleep here for the first few months during the night. During the day, she will sleep in her room. Isn't it pretty? It is currently on my side of the bed by the bay window. However, notice the wheels...it could very easily creep over to Seth's side!
