 Our philosophy is based on twelve main principles - Tao - The way or Path more commonly associated with martial arts and still consistently misinterpreted. However these principles can be applied to all aspects of life including business.
  • Do one task at a time
  • Do it with care and deliberation
  • Do it completely
  • Do less
  • Put space between things
  • Develop processes, procedures and protocols
  • Designate time for all tasks
  • Devote time for just thinking
  • Smile and serve others
  • Think about what is necessary
  • Conduct your business simply

 

 All too often we feel swamped by day to day minutia. We know that there are always "things" that have to be done, but when you're trying to run a business it's so easy to let these tasks slip and just muddle through from one day to the next. As time progresses, this becomes a "habit" and because your business is still going you see no reason why you should change what and how you do things - if it gets the job done then why bother? That's one way of looking at things. Why break something that isn't broken? However there is a flip side to this. As you muddle through, what are you missing, how much extra work are you creating for yourself?  How much is this costing you in miss spent man hours, sorting out your administration, repetition of work, because you can't immediately put your hands on the paper work you need?

We appreciate that not everyone has the time and or the resources to dedicate to, what can sometimes be considered as unnecessary pen pushing and paper stacking; but if you take the time to set up your systems and process correctly it will save time, money and frustration.

It is of little use if only one company members wants change, while the remainder of the organisation digs in its heels.
