BAND MEMBER BIOS
Steve H. (Vocals, guitar)
Steve Humbert was born and raised in the mountains of
SW Virginia (Big Stone Gap). His vocal sound is powerful
and filled with emotion while he takes the crowd on a trip
through their past, present and future.
Brian J. (Guitar/vocals)
Brian Jeffrey was born and raised in the mountains of
SW Virginia (Big Stone Gap). His pappy was a fiddler,
his uncle a guitarist/vocalist and his mother a vocalist. He is
self-taught and plays a 1960s Gibson that has soul and a story to tell.
Brian grew up with Steve H and collaborated together in VA during
their younger years in various rock bands until they formed the
progressive sound of Mar The Bullhead in Blacksburg, VA (1994).
After moving to Raleigh, NC and playing with Mar for 5 years, Brian
then began playing guitar with African Reggae Worldbeat Artist,
Kimbute and finally the Wilson-Chestnut band.
It was after playing with these bands that Brian decided he
wanted to have fun playing mixtures of sound from his roots and youth
with lifelong musician friend, Steve H. Acoustic Garage was formed.

Steve S. (Bass)
NC born and raised, Steve Samosky has played everything
from Punk to Praise in the Triangle area over the years.
Steve co-founded the Pop/Punk band "Bam Bam" with brother
Paul in the late 80s. After Bam Bam's breakup in '91,
Steve (aka "Knine") decided to take a break from playing
and enjoy the next chapter of his life w/ his beautiful
bride, Sara. He kept-up the musical 'chops' at home,
continuing to write and record when he could. During that
time, they had 2 children. With some encouragement on
Sara's part, Steve began playing again in late 2000,
playing at church and in Praise bands, gradually migrating
over to some secular projects (Hot Donuts Trio,
The Kones, Bergasse 19, ...). Steve has also continued
to play in Motown/R&B/Beach/Classic Rock bands
(most recently, as bassist for "The Rare Grooves").
Steve met Brian while working on another project
with former members of The Wilson-Chestnut Band in '07.
Brian introduced Steve S to Steve H, and that's how
Acoustic Garage came to be.
"Knine" shares many of the same influences as Brian and
Steve H. However, if he had to pick one all-time favorite
band, it would have to be the Ramones.
