mystery eggs in the community garden
Anyone know what these eggs are? I found a bunch in my community garden spot. Maybe snakes? They were pretty big, maybe the size of a dime, and sort of firmly soft. The top one here had hatched so it was an empty shell, but with some clear gelatinous stuff along one edge. They're not papery or silky or textured or translucent like other eggs I've seen in the wild, just white. I am a critter-loving vegetarian, but after watching a girl and her little brother calmly skin a squirrel for dinner in Winter's Bone the night before (good movie), I felt brave enough to open one of these. It was a gross light brown blob with some white lines running around it. Maybe a slug or a little brown snake? No clue. I decided to leave them be. If they're plant-eating slugs, they might have to be evicted.
what was the purpose
what was the purpose of putting these signs on the door? I know that it's an old religious sign from india and that it has something to do with the sun, but it was also used by the nazis, so if I find this sign in India or China or Japan or anyplace which has something to do with Buddhism I find it very natural, but in Sweden.... I gues these doors are from the 30's. But on the other hand the church of Hogalid in stockholm built in 1932 also has the sign and I dont belive that they had anything to do with the nazis, but maybe the architect had? and it was built before the common knowledge of the evil of the nazis was known. But I still wonder what the purpose was!!!
