A Novel for children: "ഇടിച്ചക്കപ്ലാമ്മൂട്ടിലെ രാജകുമാരി തന്ത്രം പഠിച്ചതെങ്ങിനെ?" Published by Kerala State Institute of Children's Literature. This is a humorous novel which retells the 500-year old fairy tale from Germany, titled "Rumpelstiltskin". I have tried to weave into it Thiruvananthapuram dialect of Malayalam, some characters from my home town, around the Vanchiyoor Govt. UPS where I began my formal education, and some excitement about Claude Shannon's information theory in its crudest form. Read a limited preview of it here. My homage to Gopala Pilla Sir of Vanchiyoor school who appears in this novel, who passed away at the age of 100, a few days before this book was published in April 2008.
